Did you know an out-of-balance tire will cause a vehicle to vibrate? This phenomenon usually occurs when the vehicle reaches speeds between 50 and 70 miles per hour! A tire is out of balance when one section of the tire is heavier than the others. One ounce of imbalance on a front tire is enough to cause a noticeable vibration in the steering wheel at about 60 miles per hour. Best-One Tire of Knoxville uses the finest computer wheel balancers to ensure a smooth ride and excellent performance. Our technicians will mount the tire on a balancing machine which spins the wheel to locate the heavier part. They then compensate for the heavy part by attaching a lead weight on the opposite side. Our customers are pleased with how smooth their trucks drive after balancing all four wheels.

Routine wheel alignments are the most effective way to control tire costs and in turn, impact fuel costs as well. We recommend a minimum of two to three alignments per year or every 50,000 to 60,000 miles as part of the average vehicle’s preventive maintenance program.
